Welcome to Tap This Homebrew

I started my homebrew adventures in March 2012 and wanted to provide a site for anyone to tag along for the ride. I will share as much information as I can to help those starting out, and hope to provide at least one perspective on home brewing.

Tap This Homebrew…the name came about during the few weeks surrounding my first full batch all grain brew day. I was trying to come up with a name for the beer I was brewing and realized I needed to add my own homebrew identity to it as well. I struggled with this, tossing around several ideas with my wife. She said to call it “Brando’s Brew”. I thought maybe “BC Brew”, but then a light bulb went off and “Tap This” came out.

As for the meaning, well…let’s just say it’s versatile.

There are a lot of blogs, forums and sites out there that may have similar information, however, I have found some of them to be overwhelming. I hope you find my site useful and my blog entertaining. I am not a pro, nor claim to be, but I am moving my home brewing beyond from being just a hobby. I continue reading and learning about brewing to improve my own processes and equipment.

It is my goal to open a brewery in the future, so I can share my love for brewing and not just make good beer, but make great beer!
